In 2011, Laura Jean McKay gave up flying around the world.
In 2012, she discovered the world of container ships.
I went along for the ride.
For the price of two round-the-world plane tickets, we went to New Zealand and back. We met drunk Russians, booty-dancing Filipinos, grumpy Germans and an idiot in a dolphin costume.
Laura kept a cool blog (flightlessness.wordpress.com). I made some wacky videos. One day we will catch container ships all the way from Melbourne to Philepelphia and back. Really.
